“Science may set limits to knowledge, but should not set limits to imagination” – Bertrand Russell.

Hometown: Charlotte, NC

Major(s): Biology, Exercise and Sports Science

Minor(s): Chemistry

Interested fields of biology: I am interested in medicine with hopes of working in the Orthopedic or Sports Medicine field. Specific to biology, I find it interesting that the relationship between structure and function exists on a cellular level and all the way up to multicellular/whole organismal level. This relationship has proved to be very helpful with studying in various Biology classes.

Campus involvement: I am a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), UNC’s pre-health professional co-ed fraternity. Through this, I have been able to explore different fields in the health professions as well as volunteer and serve the Chapel Hill community. I am also a member of Carolina For The Kids (CFTK) as the Activities Coordinator. CFTK provides the patients and families of UNC Children’s with financial and emotional support through campus and community fundraisers and the big, year-end event called Dance Marathon.

After UNC plans: I hope to go to medical school and pursue Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Fun fact: I played basketball in high school with former Tar Heel, and now Chicago Bull, Coby White.
